Operation
3.0 Operation
24VDC Power Switch
A 24VDC power switch is provided at location SW1 .
This switches power on/off to the attached sensor, but does not
remove power from the high voltage board .
RS-485
MODBUS
The RS-485 MODBUS connection provides a digital
connection to the sensor . The terminating resistor jumper should be
connected on the furthest device on the RS-485 network from the
master .
RS-485 MODBUS Terminator
The small black shorting link shunt should be connected across the
pins on the furthest device on the RS-485 network from the master .
Only one device should have the terminator connected on the
network .
Analog
Outputs
The two isolated 0-20 / 4-20mA outputs are controlled by the
sensor . See the sensor manual for assigning zero and full scale to
each analog output, and trimming the analog outputs .
Power
Indicator
A green power indicator is provided at location LED1 . This illuminates
anytime there is power present on the low voltage board .
USB Power Indicator
The USB power indicator illuminates when a USB host device is
connected to the PCM
USB Micro Connector
One Micro-USB connector is provided for connection to a Windows
computer . After the driver loads, a new COM port will be available on
the computer to communicate with the PCM .
Relay
Outputs
Each of the three (3) relays are controlled by the sensor . See the
appropriate sensor manual for assigning low, high, power fail, or
other alarms to each relay .
