5.2 Electrical calibration
The instrument is supplied already calibrated with a simulator (electrical
calibration) in the range 0÷4 mV/V. It is therefore not necessary to carry out any
calibration operation. At 4mV/V we have the indication of the full scale equal to
19
bit
(524.288 divisions), plus the bit 20 for the sign, therefore giving an indication of
-524.288 divisions in -4mV/V.
If necessary, the procedure described below allows you to calibrate the board in
the range 0÷4 mV/V with the calibrator setting in the range 0÷2 mV/V.
To calibrate the board you must provide the following tools:
Stabilized power supply 24 Vdc
Simulator for load cells with the required sensitivity range of 0÷2 mV/V
To perform electrical calibration follow this procedure:
Disconnect the instrument.
Restart it by holding down the keys
and
.
Wait about 15 minutes for thermal stabilization.
Will be require a password. Enter
and press
to confirm.
The instrument will show the written
. Place the calibrator to 0
mV/V.
Wait no less than 10 seconds and press the button
to confirm.
The instrument will show the written
. Place the calibrator to 2
mV/V.
Wait no less than 10 seconds and press the button
to confirm.
Will be shown the written
and calibration will be saved
automatically.

Weight displaying
When the DLC
NET
is in its normal operating status, it transmits to the remote
display (whether it be DLC3-RD or BA488C) the current value of the data weight.
If the system is not calibrated in engineering units through
procedure,
are shown the signal corresponding divisions coming from the load cells.
If your system is calibrated properly, it is displayed as weight engineering unit with
which the calibration was performed.
