Step 2

Try to unravel the coded message you have just made, pretending that you
don’t know the answer. First write down the coded message, then write the
key word above it as many times as you need until you run out of letters.

The first letter of the code is “E” which is under the L of the key word. So
look in the L row (No 11) for the “E” and go up the column to find the text
letter “t” at the top. The second letter is under the O of the key word, so look
in the O row (No 14) for “C” then up the column to find “o” at the top. Now
try and fill in the missing letters of the message.
