Troubleshooting
If the MikroCAD software can’t connect to the scanner or you see no image in the software, verify
the following.
Power and Connections
Check power and connections:
• Ensure that the power cord is plugged into a wall outlet and that the power supply is
connected to the cable.
• Ensure that the FireWire B camera connector and the 12-pin camera connector are
connected to the camera.
• Ensure that the 18-pin (large) projector connector and the 4-pin (small) projector connector
are connected to the projector.
• Ensure that the FireWire and USB cables are connected to the computer.
You should see a lit indicator on the power supply, the camera, and the projector.

Projector Driver
Ensure that the LMI Alligator USB driver is correctly installed:
1. Click the Start button, and in the
Search programs and files
field, type
devmgmt.msc
. Then
press Enter.
The Device Manager opens.
2. In the Device Manager, under
Universal Serial Bus controllers
, look for
LMI Alligator
.
3. If you don’t see the LMI Alligator driver, look for
Unknown device
.
You may find the unknown device under either
Universal Serial Bus controllers
or
Other
devices
.
4. Right-click on the unknown device and choose
Update Driver Software...
