INSTALLING / REPLACING BACKUP BATTERY

SOLUTION
POSSIBLE CAUSE
PROBLEM
The unit does not
turn on.
The power adaptor isn’t plugged into
a working wall socket or the power
jack on the back of unit is not
plugged in properly.
Plug the power adaptor into a working
wall socket and plug the connector
into the DC IN jack on the unit.
Battery low indicator
always flashing:
Battery is weak
Replace with new battery
FM band is too noisy
The reception at the set location is
poor or the antenna is not extended
Extend the antenna fully and/or relocate
your unit away from metal surfaces
Battery were not installed properly
Make sure the polarity is correct
Battery is too weak for the first time Replace with new battery
TROUBLE SHOOTING
BATTERY LOW INDICATOR
When the backup battery power is low, the low battery indication icon will display and blink. It
is time to replace the backup battery.
TO INSTALL / REPLACE BACKUP BATTERY
1. Make sure the AC adaptor is connected during battery replacement. Otherwise, all
settings may be lost and reset.
2. Remove the screw that secures the battery door by using a screwdriver.
3. Pull the battery door on the bottom of the unit as shown below.
4. Insert a new battery in the battery door with “+” positive facing up. Only
CR2450
lithium
battery should be used.
5. Insert the battery door with new battery back into the unit.
6. Secure the battery door by using a screwdriver.
7. After the battery replacement, the low battery indication icon will disappear.
BATTERY WARNING:
1. Make sure the correct polarity of battery to be installed.
2. Make sure you dispose of batteries properly (refer to your local regulations)
3. Do not open batteries
4. Do not dispose of batteries in fire
5. Do not heat up batteries
6. Do not expose batteries to water
7. Do not change or recharge batteries
