DISCO BALL LDL 9 A1
These operating instructions are a component of the Disco Ball LDL 9 A1 and
provide you with important information on the intended use, safety, connection
and operation of the Disco Ball. Read these operating instructions carefully be-
fore using the appliance for the fi rst time and preserve them for later reference.
Pass them on, with the appliance, to any future owner.
Intended use
This Disco Ball is intended exclusively for decorative purposes in a private house-
hold. This appliance is not intended for illumination purposes, for commercial or
industrial applications or for use outdoors. This appliance is not intended for any
other use or for uses beyond those mentioned, and they could lead to damage.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by failure to
observe the instructions, improper use, inappropriate repairs, making unauthorized
changes or for using unapproved replacement parts.
Safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance, observe the following safety information:
Connect the power adapter only to a correctly installed mains power socket
■
whose voltage matches that given in the technical specifi cations of the adapter.
The mains power plug must always be easily accessible, so that in the event
■
of an emergency the appliance can be quickly disconnected from the mains
power supply.
Ensure that neither the Disco Ball nor the power adapter come into contact
■
with water or other liquids. There is a risk of electric shock! Use the Disco-
ball only in dry indoor areas, not outdoors.
Immediately disconnect the power adapter from the mains power socket if
■
the Disco Ball does not function faultlessly or there is visible damage to the
power adapter. Then arrange for the appliance to be checked by Customer
Services.
After use or during extended absences, ALWAYS remove the power adapter
■
from the mains power socket. Otherwise, the power adapter remains “live”
for as long as it continues to be connected to the mains power socket. Thus
it also consumes energy.
Use only the supplied power adapter (Model: QM-2301206-IP20), other
■
models are possibly not suffi ciently safe or are unsuitable for the Disco Ball.
When the Disco Ball is in use, ensure that it hangs completely free and will
■
not be blocked or covered by anything. This would lead to a build-up of heat.
DO NOT hang the Disco Ball over infl ammable objects, especially not over
■
decorations, curtains or drapes. This would increase the risk of fi re!
Lay the cable from the power adapter to the Disco Ball such that no one can
■
trip over it and/or that the Disco Ball can be pulled down.
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)
■
with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.

Assembling the ceiling mount
CAUTION
Check to ensure that no pipes or electric cables are located at the drilling
►
site. There is a risk of electric shock!
In cases of frequent use, it is sensible to affi x the Disco Ball fi rmly to the ceiling.
If you only want to use the Disco Ball occasionally, you can fold out the bracket
on the ceiling mount and hang it from a hook.
Fixed installation (see Fig. 1)

▯
Ball, and mark the three drilling holes.
Drill the holes for the plugs.
▯
Attach the ceiling bracket to the ceiling with the plugs and screws.
