Installation
Skylight Roof installation
1.
Place the skylight window assembly in the rough opening of the unit, centered side to side with the
hinge pins (Fig. 3A) facing towards the front of the unit.
2.
Install #8 x1" pan quad T-2 self drilling screws w/assembled 5/8" neo-bond washers (Fig. 4A) in each
pre-drilled hole (Fig. 4B) along the perimeter of the Stargazer Spirit Skylight outer frame.
3.
Apply the gunnable self-leveling sealant over each screw (Fig. 5A - green area).
4.
Apply the gunnable self-leveling sealant around the perimeter where the skylight frame and roof meet
(Fig. 6A - green area).
Skylight Inner Screen Ceiling Trim and Frame
1.
Insert the ceiling trim piece (Fig. 7A) inside the skylight housing (Fig. 7B) with the flange of the trim
(Fig. 7A) flush to the ceiling (Fig. 7C).
2.
Place the screen frame (Fig. 8A) centered over the trim in the ceiling.
3.
Install six #8 x 3/4” pan head screws (Fig. 9C) through the pre-driled holes (Fig. 9B) of the screen frame,
through the ceiling trim, and into the ceiling.
4.
Install six screw caps (Figs. 9D, 10A) over the screw holes in the screen frame.
