PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model: LSA151; Forward: 15 dB gain; Reverse: Passive

  Bandwidth: 5-42 MHz/54-1220 MHz; 5-65 MHz/85-1220 MHz; 5-85 MHz/102-1220 MHz

  Powering: 12-15 VDC

Lindsay’s extreme bandwidth LSA151 subscriber amplifiers are 2-way, 1.2 GHz devices supporting DOCSIS

®

 3.1 frequencies. They offer

available upstream and downstream splits of 42/54, 65/85 and 85/102 MHz.

Customers with long drops and excessive splitter losses benefit from Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) technology delivering improved distortion

and noise performances. These amplifiers are specially designed for both indoor and outdoor applications with a 15 PSI watertight seal, a

protective coating, and 6 kV surge withstand capabilities for enhanced system reliability.

INSTALLATION

Two mounting holes permit a #6 screw to mount the LSA151 amplifier to a wood or wallboard surface. Nails are not advised due to possible

impact or vibration damage. Fasten a grounding wire to the amplifier housing. A grounding screw is located on two sides of the amplifier for

convenience of connection. Connect input and output cables to the amplifier ports and power the amplifer as described below.

POWERING

The LSA151 amplifier can be powered with the supplied wall adapter (power pack) that is included in the box.

Plug the wall adapter into a 120 VAC power socket. Then run an RG6 coaxial cable from the adapter to the amplifier PWR IN port.

 A

red

LED adjacent to the PWR IN port will illuminate.

The LSA151 amplifier can also be remotely powered via the RF OUT/PWR IN port by using a power inserter (LBI-PI part # 15-100).

For example, when the amplifier is installed outside of the house in a CPE enclosure, then run one coaxial cable through the wall to the

amplifier. Inside the house, apply power to the POWER IN port of the power inserter, and take the RF signal feed for the house from the

RF ONLY port.

FORWARD & REVERSE PATH SET-UP

The cable TV system entering the residence is connected to the RF IN port on the LSA151 subscriber drop amplifier. The

televisions or set-top boxes or modems are connected to the connections marked RF OUT.

In reverse, the amplifier does not amplify upstream signals, but passes them through unaffected.

CAUTION

Risk of electric shock. Do not open rear plate.
