3 Mechanical installation
WARNING
Installation and maintenance operations has to be carried out by qualified
personnel only, with power supply disconnected and mechanical parts
compulsorily in stop.
3.1 Encoder with solid shaft EM58, EM58S
•
Mount the flexible coupling

on the encoder shaft;
•
fix the encoder to the flange

(or to the mounting bell) by means of the
screws
3
;
•
secure the flange

to the support (or the mounting bell to the motor);
•
mount the flexible coupling
1
on the motor shaft;
•
make sure the misalignment tolerances of the flexible coupling
1
are
respected.
