Connecting Steps
OPTM
OPTS
Transmitter
: Connect a multi- (OPTM) or single mode (OPTS) fiber cable to
channel A
of the transmitter.
HDMI
DVI
DP
Connect a DVI, HDMI, or DP source (e.g. computer) to the transmitter’s DVI, HDMI, DP input
connector.
Audio
Connect an audio source (e.g. media player) to the transmitter’s audio output connector.
RS-232
Optionally for RS-232 control: connect a controller device (e.g. touch panel) to the RS-232 port(s)
of the device(s).
IR
Optionally for Infrared control:
- Connect the IR emitter to the IR OUT port of the device.
- Connect the IR detector to the IR IN port of the device.
LAN
Optionally connect the transmitter or the receiver to a Local Area Network in order to control the
devices by the built-in Web page.
Optionally connect Ethernet devices (e.g. switch, laptop, computer etc.) to the available RJ45
connector(s) of the extender(s). All connected devices will work as if they are connected to the
same network.
Never connect the receiver and the transmitter to the same LAN network to avoid network loop!
USB
Optionally for USB HID extension: connect the transmitter to the computer by the USB-B cable.
Power
Connect the power adaptor to the DC input of the switcher first, then to the AC power socket.

Connect a DVI, HDMI, or DP sink (e.g. projector) to the receiver’s DVI, HDMI, DP output
connector.
Audio
Connect an audio sink (e.g. audio amplifier) to the receiver’s audio output.
RS-232
Optionally for RS-232 control: connect a controlled device (e.g. projector) to the RS-232 port(s) of
the device(s).
IR
Optionally for Infrared control:
- Connect the IR emitter to the IR OUT port of the device.
- Connect the IR detector to the IR IN port of the device.
