ER8M2 / ER8NM2 Lighting Instructions (Maintained and Non Maintained 8W Bulkhead)
General Information
These instructions contain important information regarding safety. They should be read
carefully and should be retained for future reference. The company will not accept any
responsibility for any injury, damage or loss which may arise due to incorrect installation,
operation or maintenance due to non-adherence to these instructions.
Our products are designed to comply with the recommendations of BS 5266-1: 2005 code of
practice for emergency lighting of premises and be installed by competent person in
accordance with the relevant wiring regulations
Before installation of any type of emergency lighting always seek the advice of the local fire
prevention officer (or equivalent authority)

All self
contained emergency lighting luminaires require a continuous (un-switched) 220V
240V single phase 50hz supply to keep the inbuilt batteries charged.
Installation of the fitting
Installation should only be carried out in accordance with the current edition of the
Regulations for Electrical Installations BS 7671 and with the requirements of BS 5266-1
Do not high voltage insulation test the luminaire as this may damage the control gear
Before starting the installation ensure that the electricity supply is isolated and that it can not
be reenergised accidentally.
1) Remove the front diffuser from the body by removing the 2 fixing screws
2) Release the metal gear tray by easing the plastic clips away from the metal tray and
lifting the metal tray away from the base
