Recharging the battery
Attention:
•
The position of the battery switch
(on/off) does not affect charging.
•
During charging you cannot use the
push assist.
•
Only charge the battery at ambient
temperatures from +10 to +40 ° C *.
•
If the ambient temperature is lower
than -10°C or higher than 60°C, the
battery will have a shorter service life
and will need to be charged more
often.
•
The battery needs to be fully charged
at least once in every 3 months, even
if the wheelchair is not used.
•
The battery charger may only be
used in dry areas.
The battery does not need to be empty
before it is re-charged. You can re-charge
the battery at any desired time. You can also
interrupt the charging at any desired time.
Charging a fully discharged battery takes
approximately 7 hours.
1. Fix the battery charger to the connection
point on the wheelchair (C).
2. Put the plug in the wall socket.
The signal lamp on the charger will turn
red**.
If the push assist is activated while the charger
is connected, the battery indicator will display
six fast-flashing lamps on the control panel as
a sign that the wheelchair may not be driven.
Checking the battery
The control panel is provided with an LED
battery indicator, with which you can check
the amount of charge left in the battery.
If all indicator lamps are lit, the battery is fully
charged.
Attention:
•
If only the bottom three (red) lamps are
lit, the battery needs to be charged as
soon as possible to prevent that the
push assist is disabled because of an
empty battery.
•
If the charge is less than 10%, the
last lamp will start to flash and the
wheelchair’s maximum speed will be
limited.
