Using the LI-6400

Auto match every __ obs (0 == none):
Enter 0 for no matching, 1 to match on every observation, 2 for every other
observation, etc. If and when automatic matching occurs, it comes out of the
normal log period. That is, if you are logging every 5 minutes, the period will
always be 5 minutes, regardless of whether it matched or not.
ÒAveraging AutoLogÓ
This is similar to
AutoLog
, except averages are logged, rather than instanta-
neous data.

Averaging AutoLog prompts for the following:

Log (and average) interval (secs):
How often is data to be logged. During this period, readings are made every
second, and what is logged will be the average of those readings.

Quit after (minutes):
The program will quit after this time period.

MATCH every Nth Log (0=never):
Enter 0 for no matching, 1 to match every observation, 2 for every other one,
etc.
Uses AuxN3
Averaging AutoLog uses AuxN3 for the number of samples in each observa-
tion. Therefore, to get this information included with your logged data, in-
clude system ID #-106 in your log list.
Note: Bug in Version 3.01
In OPEN 3.01, the final log period (or partial period) is not be recorded. This
is fixed in OPEN 3.2.
ÒBuffered AutoLogÓ
Buffered AutoLog
allows data collection at a much faster rate than
AutoLog
was designed to do. It accomplishes this by

Putting a low priority on screen updates
It will refresh every few seconds, or after a key press.

Ignoring Strip Chart plotting if it is active
¥
Buffering A/D readings so no measurements are lost
This introduces a time restriction, since the buffer is limited (64K, or avail-
able memory). For example, if raw mV readings are being generated at 5 Hz,
