LG MultiSITE
TM
VM3 Controller
The MultiSITE VM3 (Model number: PBACNBTR1A) is a compact and powerful controller and server platform designed for connecting
multiple and diverse devices and sub-systems. Powered by the Niagara Framework®, the MultiSITE VM3 provides an open system solution
including integrated control, supervision, data logging, alarming, scheduling, and network management. The MultiSITE VM3 streams data
to a standard web browser accessible via an Ethernet or wireless LAN, or remotely over the Internet. The MultiSITE VM3 controller offers a
scalable solution to meet future challenges of building integration and enterprise connectivity. It is also designed and engineered for compat-
ibility with LG air conditioning systems.
Installation
Mount the controller in a location that allows clearance for wiring, servicing, and module removal. Refer to the MultiSITE VM3 Installation
Manual for installation and mounting instructions, and also for environmental requirements for the operation of MultiSITE VM3 controller.
Driver configuration and GUI
Refer to the MultiSITE VM3 User Manual for details on configuring the LG Niagara 4 driver to monitor and control LG HVAC equipment. The
User Manual also describes the features of the controller’s GUI (graphical user interface).
About this guide
This guide describes the initial Niagara 4 software installation and configuration for a QNX-based MultiSITE VM3 controller, using MultiSITE
Supervisor (versions Niagara 4.1 and later). Before beginning the commissioning process described in this document, you must have the
MultiSITE VM3 controller with you, so that you can power it on and off as needed.
After you complete the commissioning process described in this document, you can mount and wire the MultiSITE VM3 controller. The infor-
mation in this document is intended for an engineer, technician, or service person who is performing control system installation.
LG MultiSITE™ VM3 will be referred to as MultiSITE VM3, and LG MultiSITE™ Supervisor will be referred to as MultiSITE Supervisor in this
manual.
