GDC-480H/500H Wireless Handset

From this menu, select Sounds using the Up and Down arrows of the 

Navigation

(        ) button and press the 

OK

 (        ) button.

From this menu select External Ring or Internal Ring to set the ringer volume for
external or internal calls respectively and press the. 

OK

Navigation

3.3 Muting your Microphone 

During a call, you can mute the microphone so that the connected party can’t hear what is 
said in your vicinity.  While the Mic. is muted you will still hear the connected party. 

To mute the microphone while on a call: 

1. Press the 

Option

 (       ) left soft button. The handset displays the Call Options menu.

2. Use The Up and Down arrows of the 

Navigation

 (

  ) button to highlight Mute and 

press the 

OK

 (       ) button; MUTED is shown in the display.

To deactivate Mute so that the connected party can hear you: 

1. Press the 

Enable

 (       ) right soft button, the function is deactivated.

3.4 Control ANC Strength  

During a call, you can control the ANC strength so that the connected party can hear the 
clear voice what is said in your vicinity.  There are four steps in the call option menu. (Weak, 
Middle, Strong, Off) 

To control the ANC strength while on a call: 

1. Press the 

Option

 (       ) left soft button. The handset displays the Call Options menu.

2. Use The Up and Down arrows of the 

Navigation

 (

 ) button to highlight ANC 

Strength and press the 

OK

 (       ) button; Off is shown in the display.

3. While on a call, press the Left or Right arrow on the 

Navigation

 (

 ) button. 

3.5 Placing an Outside Call 

While the phone is idle, you may dial a call (up to 24 digits).  The display indicates the last 11 
digits dialed.  In case an error occurs during dialing, you may delete the last or all digits 
using the 

delete

 (        ) right soft button.  Pressing the button deletes the last digit, holding 

the button pressed for more than 1 second deletes all digits. 

To Place a call: 

1. Dial the phone number; remember you may need to dial an access code such as ‘9’

to place an external call.
