Panel Menus

This setting allows the system support person to enable or disable the control panel menus. When disabled,
users are not allowed to access and conﬁgure the menus.

From the Conﬁguration menu, select

Panel Menus

Note:

Enable is the factory default setting.

Depending on your printer model, touch

Submit

or press the Select button to apply the changes.

PPDS Emulation

This setting allows the user to activate or deactivate the PPDS emulation data stream. When activated, the
following changes also occur:

•

The SmartSwitch settings for each port are turned off.

•

The printer language is changed to PPDS emulation.

Note:

Users can still switch languages on the control panel and through the PJL data stream.
