4. Safety instructions
WARNING!
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Faulty electrical installation or very
high supply voltage can lead to
electric shock.
• Switch on the fan only if the supply
voltage of the electrical socket
matches with the specification on
the rating plate.
• Switch on the fan using only a
properly accessible electrical socket,
so that you can quickly separate it
from the power supply system in case
of a fault.
• If you use an extension cable, take
care that it corresponds with the
applicable safety regulations.
• Do not operate the fan if it has
visible damages or the power cable
or the power plug is defective.
• If the power cable of the fan is
damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or his customer
service department or a similarly
qualified person in order to prevent
the damages. In this case, contact
at the service-address mentioned in
the operating manual.
• Do not open the casing; leave the
repairs to the qualified person. In this
case, contact at the service-address
mentioned in the operating manual.
For the independently carried out
repairs, improper connection or
faulty operation, liability and warran-
ty claim are impossible.
• Do not immerse the fan or the
power cable or the plug in water or
other liquids.
• Keep the fan away from humidity,
chemical substances and oils.
• Never pull out the power plug from
the plug socket by holding the power
cable; always hold the power plug.
• Never use the power cable as a
handle.
• Keep the fan, power plug and the
power cable away from the open
fire and hot surfaces.
• Do not bend the power cable and
do not lay it on the sharp edges as it
can lead to breaking of the cable.
• Use the fan only indoors. Never
operate it in the humid areas or in
the rain.
