Lenovo ThinkServer Diagnostics

The Lenovo ThinkServer Diagnostics program enables you to diagnose server problems offline, perform
some diagnostic tests, and collect system information. Examples of the system information include basic
operating-system information, hardware information, SEL, RAID log, and so on. Your server comes with
Lenovo ThinkServer Diagnostics Standalone Edition.

Lenovo ToolsCenter Suite CLI

Lenovo ToolsCenter Suite CLI consists of individual application modules that utilize a command-line interface
(CLI) to help you manage servers. With the inventory application module, Lenovo ToolsCenter Suite CLI
enables you to get inventory and system information for ThinkServer servers.

Lenovo XClarity Administrator

Lenovo XClarity Administrator is a centralized, resource-management solution that simplifies infrastructure
management, speeds responses, and enhances the availability of Lenovo server systems and solutions. It
runs as a virtual appliance that automates discovery, inventory, tracking, monitoring, and provisioning for
Lenovo servers in a secure environment. For more information, see “Using Lenovo XClarity Administrator”
on page 52.

RAID configuration utilities

Your server supports onboard SATA software RAID. If a required RAID card is installed, your server also
supports advanced SATA/SAS hardware RAID configurations. For more information, see “Configuring
RAID” on page 47.

BIOS and TMM update utilities

The BIOS and TMM (also known as BMC) firmware keeps updating after the shipment of the server.
Lenovo maintains pages on the Support Web site and provides the BIOS and TMM update utilities with
instructions for download to help you update the BIOS and TMM firmware if needed. For more information,
see “Updating or recovering the BIOS” on page 44 and Chapter 2 “Server setup road map” on page 5.

Remote management software

The integrated TMM provides basic remote management features for the server.
