Procedure

Step 1.  Make preparations for this task. 

1.  If applicable, remove the security bezel (see 

“Remove the security bezel” on page 137

).

2.  Remove the top covers (see 

“Remove the top covers” on page 168

).

3.  Remove the air baffle (see 

“Remove the air baffle” on page 43

).

4.  Remove PCIe riser 1 (see 

“Remove the PCIe riser assemblies and adapters” on page 100

).

Step 2.  Disconnect the serial port cable from the system board.

Step 3.  Open the retainer, and remove the screws that secures the module to the riser.
