8 Operation
8.1 Positioning the microscope
WARNING
Risk of injury to the patient.

Don't switch on/off during surgery.

Don't unplug systm during surgery.

Set the middle position
X
Press the "Reset XY-unit" key (2).
The XY-unit is driven to its middle position.
When the middle position is reached, the LED (1) lights up.

Using the footswitch, move the focus into reset position (see
mark (3)).
Coarse positioning
X
Hold the microscope by the two handles (4) and position it.
Fine positioning
X
Actuate the XY-unit using the footswitch (7) (for directions, see
illustration below).

Adjusting the travel speed of the XY movement:
X
Remove the focus cover (6).
X
On the upper potentiometer (8) of the board, set the speed to
the desired value.

Adjusting the tilt
X
Open the clamping lever (5).
X
Adjust the tilt of the microscope.
X
Close the clamping lever (5).
