IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH
THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED. DISCONNECT POWER TO ALL CIRCUITS
BEFORE WIRING FIXTURE. INSTALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL NATIONAL, STATE, AND LOCAL CODES. DO NOT CONNECT TO
AN UNGROUNDED SUPPLY. READ ALL FIXTURE MARKINGS AND LABELS TO ENSURE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF FIXTURE.
SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS MAY BE LOCATED ON THE FIXTURE, IN ADDITION TO THIS INSTRUCTION SHEET, REGARDING
ORIENTATION, OR MOUNTING RESTRICTIONS.

Luminaires for High Abuse Applications

Standard Luminaire - Back Feed
1. Remove refractor from base plate.
2. Straighten tabs on base plate and remove wireway assembly.
3. For Peace of Mind Guarantee
®
, fixture must be mounted to building with at least 4 fasteners (4 point
mounting). Attachment to the electrical box only will not insure proper fixture performance.
4. Disconnect power to the circuit before wiring fixture.
5. Place fixture over an installed electrical junction box . Locate and drill 4 pilot holes in mounting surface.
Use fixture base as template. Using 1/4-20 fasteners and anchors appropriate for the mounting surface,
(not supplied), mount fixture base to building. NOTE: To seal against moisture, insure gasket is in place, free of
tears, maintaining original form.
6. Attach wireway assembly by snapping loose end of nylon beaded wire ties into keyholes in wireway. Connect
fixture leads to power supply leads using connectors suitable for the gauge and number of wires being used
(not included). Connections are to be made in the junction box, not the fixture. Black fixture lead connects to
the supply conductor, white fixture lead connects to the neutral supply conductor, and the grounding wire must
be connected to a suitable ground.
7. Reinstall wireway assembly and twist tabs at ends of base plate.
8. Install lamp(s) (supplied separately or by others).
9. Reinstall refractor using all Torx
®
screws provided.
NOTE: Check gasket for proper seal between diffuser and mounting surface.
Surface Conduit Feed
1. Follow steps 1 through 5 above.
2. Remove knockout(s) from end(s) of base plate.
3. Connect conduit to base plate.
4. Install conduit gasket(s) supplied.
5. Remove twistout(s) from refractor ends(s) by gripping firmly with pliers at one side of the internal piece
(to be removed) and carefully twisting to tear around the grove.
6. Continue with step 6 above.
