SAFETY REGULATIONS
DANGER
Before carrying out any operation on the equipment, it is necessary
to read carefully these safety regulations. It is forbidden a use and
installation different than those specified in this instructions sheet.
CAUTION
This product should be installed in compliance with installation rules,
preferably by a qualified electrician. Incorrect installation and use can
lead to risk of electric shock or fire.
CAUTION
A battery can present a risk of electrical shock and high short circuit
current. The following precautions should be observed when working
on batteries:
a) remove watches, rings or other metal objects;
b) use tools with insulated handles;
c) wear rubber gloves and boots;
d) do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries;
e) disconnect the charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting
battery terminals;
f) determine if battery is inadvertently grounded. If inadvertently
grounded, remove source from ground. Contact with any part of a
grounded battery can result in electrical shock. The likelihood of
such shock can be reduced if such grounds are removed during
installation and maintenance (applicable to equipment and remote
battery supplies not having a grounded supply circuit).
CAUTION
• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode.
• Do not open or mutilate batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to
the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
• The batteries must be disposed of correctly. For the disposal
requirements refer to local laws and relevant standards.
WARNING: battery drawers must be added/replaced always
in multiples of 4 (1 KB). It is also necessary to ensure that
the brand of the 4 battery drawers is the same and that the
production dates are close (see the text yyWxx on the label
of the packaging box where yy is the year and xx is the
week).
PRESCRIZIONI DI SICUREZZA
PERICOLO
Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione è necessario leggere
attentamente queste prescrizioni di sicurezza. E’ vietata l’installazione o
l’utilizzo in modalità differenti da quelle indicate in questo foglio istruzioni.
ATTENZIONE
Questo prodotto deve essere installato in conformità con le regole
d’instal lazione e di preferenza da un elettricista qualificato. L’eventuale
installazione e utilizzo improprio dello stesso possono comportare rischi
di shock elettrico o incendio.
ATTENZIONE
Una batteria può costituire un rischio di scossa elettrica e di un’elevata
corren te di cortocircuito. Quando si opera sulle batterie devono essere
osservate le seguenti precauzioni:
a) rimuovere orologi da polso, anelli ed altri oggetti metallici;
b) utilizzare utensili con impugnatura isolate;
c) indossare guanti e scarpe di gomma;
d) non appoggiare utensili od oggetti metallici sulla parte superiore delle
batterie;
e) scollegare la sorgente di carica prima di collegare o scollegare i
morsetti della batteria;
f) verificare se la batteria sia stata inavvertitamente collegata a terra.
In que sto caso, scollegare la sorgente da terra. Il contatto con
una parte qualsiasi della batteria messa a terra può causare una
scossa elettrica. La probabilità può essere ridotta se i collegamenti
di terra vengono interrotti durante l’installazione e la manutenzione
(applicabile ad apparecchiature e ad ali mentazioni a batteria poste a
distanza, prive di circuito di alimentazione messo a terra).
ATTENZIONE
• Non gettare le batterie nel fuoco. Possono esplodere.
• Non aprire o rompere le batterie. L’elettrolita fuoriuscito può essere
dannoso per la pelle e gli occhi e risultare tossico.
• Le batterie devono essere smaltite in modo corretto. Per i requisiti di
smaltimento fare riferimento alle disposizioni locali e alle normative di
settore.
ATTENZIONE: I cassetti batterie devono sempre essere
aggiunti/sostituiti a multipli di 4 (1KB). E’ inoltre necessario
verificare che la marca delle batterie dei 4 cassetti sia la
stessa e che le date di produzione siano vicine (si veda il
dato yyWxx sull’etichetta della scatola di imballaggio, dove
yy sta per l’anno e xx per la settimana).

3 108 54 Battery Drawer Assembly Instructions:
1. Join one end of the two 762 mm nylon laces and insert them in the
two proper slits placed in the front and the back side of the chassis
base.
2. Insert short and long wirings in the two proper slits and fix them
with proper brackets as shown in Fig. 1.
3. Place the first battery in the front side of the chassis (the handle
side) with red faston towards the external side of the chassis (the
handle side) as shown in Fig.2. Repeat this step for the remaining
batteries.

Procedura di assemblaggio di un cassetto batterie del kit 3 108 54:
1. Unire le due fascette in nylon da 762 mm ed inserirle nelle due
apposite fessure presenti nella parte anteriore e posteriore del
basamento del telaio del cassetto.
2. Inserire i cablaggi corto e lungo nelle apposite aperture presenti nel
telaio e fissarli con l’apposita staffa verificando la corretta polarità
illustrata in Fig.1.
3. Collocare la prima batteria nella parte anteriore del telaio
(lato maniglia) con il faston rosso verso il lato esterno del telaio
(lato maniglia) come illustrato in Fig.2. Ripetere la procedura per le
restanti batterie.
