4. Hardware
Installation
Record the switch
’s MAC address (MAC is printed on the product
label). Provide the MAC address to your network administrator
who should provide an IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway
Select a mounting location and install with the attached Din Rail
Clip or panel mount kit included.
Connect power to the switch by 12 to 48VDC (
IESP-M082C POE
switch must be powered by 48VDC power supply
)
Redundant DC input is available with fault contacts. For SFP
model, the installation of an SFP module disables the associated
RJ-45 copper port
Software Installation
Connect a standalone PC/NB to a port of the switch.
Change your PC/NB
’s network IP address to allow it to connect to
the switch (ex: 192.168.16.2). Use the same default subnet mask
and gateway.
Launch PC/NB
’s web browser by typing the switch’s IP address,
http://192.168.16.1 in the browser address window.
IP Configuration
Expand the
“system tree” and select IP configuration
Enter the new IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway provided by
your network administrator
Save the change
Record this information and file it for future reference
