Pulse Energy
The total energy between the cursors, in Joules. For
pulse energy, the display is arranged to show one pulse
as large as possible, and the cursors set one either side
of the pulse. The energy in the pulse is displayed.
The total energy between any two points can also be
shown. The example below right shows how the total
energy in a burst of pulses can be determined.
Important Note:
The energy calculation works by calculating the area
under the graph between the cursors. Any zero offset
may cause significant errors. For proper accuracy the
meter should be zeroed before making an energy
calculation. See
