The TruAngle serial interface uses RS-232
12V signal levels and data format. The format parameters
are set to:

Serial Commands
•
Serial commands that start the “$” character pass through the TruAngle to the laser. For information about
these serial commands, please refer to the user’s manual that shipped with your laser.

Serial commands that start with the “#” character are intercepted and acted upon by TruAngle.
•
TruPulse Series and TruSpeed Sx Lasers Only
: Serial commands can be sent to the laser via a PC, while
cabled to the TruAngle. For example, the $GO command will fire the laser, capture a measurement, and
then download the serial data string from the laser to TruAngle, capture the angle measurement and then
download the complete serial data string to the PC. For more laser serial commands please refer to the
user’s manual that shipped with your laser.
