The Larson Electronics HAL-LED-SOL12-STCHN.25 Solar Powered Hazardous Location LED Light is an ideal lighting
solution for remote areas and standalone applications where connection to external power is either impractical or
unavailable. This unit provides 1,050 lumens of output during use, which can illuminate an area approximately 55’ long x 55’
wide.
Mounting
Lamp:
The LED lamp features a 25-degree stanchion mount. Pole OD options
include: 1", 1.25", 1.5", 2", 2.25", 2.375" or 2.5". The lamp is mounted on a
pole by slipping the mount over the top of the pole, and tightening the T
handle screw to hold in place. The cord can either be ran through the
inside of a hollow pole, or down the side of a solid pole.
If mounting to a solid pole, be sure there is enough space for the cord to
not become pinched or damaged, and don't tighten the T handle screw
onto the cord. Allow a small space at the top of the pole so that the cord
clears and doesn't get pinched between the light and pole.
Panel:
This solar panel includes a permanent mounting system that allows for
mounting to square/round poles or flat surfaces such as a wall or post
shown in figure 1.
Position the solar panel in a location that receives the maximum amount
of sunlight throughout the day. This may need adjusted depending on the
season. With pole mounting, loosen the adjustment bolts to fit solar panel
onto pole. Once panel is in desired location, tighten bolts snug to secure
panel to pole. For surface mounting, remove additional front plate and use
the existing mounting holes to mount directly to surface.
