AWARD BIOS SETUP

Onboard serial Port1 / port2: 

Select an address and corresponding interrupt for the first 

and second serial ports. The settings are “3F8/IRQ4”, “2E8/IRQ3”, “3E8/IRQ4”, “2F8/IRQ3, 

“Disabled”, “Auto”. 

 

UART Mode Select: 

This field determines the UART mode in your computer. The settings 

are Normal, IrDA and ASKIR. The default value is Normal. 

 

UR2 Duplex Mode: 

This item allows you to select the URAT2 half/full duplex mode. 

 

Onboard Parallel Mode : 

Select an operating mode for the onboard parallel (printer) port.  

Select “Normal”, “Compatible”,

 

or “SPP” unless you are certain your hardware and 

software both support one of the other available modes.   

 

Parallel Port Mode: 

This field allows you to determine parallel port mode function 

SPP 

Normal Printer Port 

EPP 

Enhanced Parallel Port 

ECP 

Extended Capabilities Port 

 

ECP Mode Use DMA:

Select a DMA channel for the parallel port for use during ECP mode. 

The settings are “3” and “1”.

 

 

PWRON After PWR-FAIL: 

This option will determine how the system will power on after a 

power failure.
