TROUBLESHOOTING AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
AUDIBLE PROBLEMS
Back up alarm does not sound.
Faulty alarm module.
Frayed or broken wires, faulty
direction control switch or
electronics.
• Continuity check alarm module -
replace as needed.
• See “Back Up Alarms,” on
• See “Inspect Electrical
Connections,” in Chapter 2, Planned
Maintenance.
• Check related wire harnesses and
connectors for contact problems,
broken wires, etc.
• Examine cable assemblies for tight
connections.
• Wire terminal crimps should be
secure and wire stranding must not
be frayed or corroded.
• Check wiring to relay.
• See “Intermittent electrical
problems,” on
page 3-8.
Unusual noise when truck is in
motion.
Faulty Hydraulic Wheel motor
assembly.
• If unit is suspected, it must be
removed from the truck and
replaced.
• See “Hydrostatic Drive Motor -
Rear,” on page 3-37.
Singing noise.
Insufficient fluid level or charge oil
flowing past cold start relief.
Faulty motor bearing.
•
Check fluid level.
• Drive at reduced speed until
oil/truck reaches operating
temperature.
• Faulty cold start relief valve.
Replace with valve set at 460PSI
(32 bar).
• Repair or replace motor. See
