ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
It is very im por tant that your new

Disc Chisel
be prop erly as sem bled, ad justed and
lu bri cated be fore use. Il lus tra tions to as sist with the

Sec tion 2,
“Stan dard Speci fi ca tions”
. They show proper
shank, disc gang and mount ing bracket spac ings. Il -

pro ce dures. Re move paint from grease fit tings. Re -
place any grease fit tings that are dam aged or miss -
ing. Be sure to re turn bolts, clips, etc., to their origi -
nal lo ca tions.

leave the
nuts loose un til com ple tion
of fi nal as sem bly. Use
lock wash ers or flat wash ers as speci fied. Spread all
cot ter pins.
Af ter com ple tion
of fi nal as sem bly,
tighten all
nuts evenly
to pre vent mis align ment, dis tor tion or
bind
ing. Tighten all bolts and nuts to the rec
om

mended torques shown in
Ta ble 2-1, “Stan
dard
Bolt Torques”
.
