Unhook Field Cultivator
Refer to Figure 1-2:

To avoid serious injury or death:
Always secure equipment with solid, non-concrete supports
before working under it. Never go under equipment supported
by concrete blocks or hydraulics. Concrete can break,
hydraulic lines can burst, and/or hydraulic controls can be
actuated even when power to hydraulics is off.
1. See “Long-Term Storage” on page 14 when parking
cultivator for long periods or at the end of the season.
2. Park tractor with cultivator on a flat, level, solid
surface.
3. Lower cultivator down until cultivator blades are on
the ground.
4. If unhooking from a Quick Hitch, follow instructions in
the Quick Hitch Operator’s Manual. Otherwise,
continue with step 5.
5. Shut tractor down according to “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” on page 8.

6. Remove hairpin cotter (#3) and clevis pin (#4).
7. Store top center 3-point link in tractor holder.
8. Reinstall clevis pin (#4) and hairpin cotter (#3) in
upper clevis hitch for safe keeping.
9. Remove linchpins (#1).
10. Move tractor lower 3-point arms off of the cultivator’s
lower 3-point hitch pins (#2). Return linchpins (#1) to
hitch pins (#2) for safe keeping.
11. Return to the tractor and drive slowly away making
sure tractor and lower 3-point arms are clear while
pulling away.
