Maintenance
5.1.8
Calibrating the Probe
Maintenance mode has to be activated before running a calibration process, see chapter
Activate/deactivate Maintenance Mode
. This deactivates probe failures and avoids fault con-
ditions. After finishing the calibration process successfully, maintenance mode must be deac-
tivated.
A correct and regular probe calibration increases measuring precision.
The probes can be calibrated by either
•
reference measurement or
•
test gas
For calibration using a reference measurement, an flue gas analyser is required. The probes
can then be calibrated when installed / whilst combustion is taking place.
For the test gas calibration, the LS2-HT is be provided with a test gas connection. It can then
be calibrated when installed / whilst combustion is taking place.
A testing device is available for the test gas calibration of the of the standard probe (LS2 type
650R1000), s. chapter
5.1 Probe Testing and Calibration
).
Disassemble the probe for calibration.
The following calibration processes must be performed after commissioning and/or replace-
ment of the probe:

Required: Offset calibration, see chapter
