3.5.6 Temperature
Compensation
All standard Hall probes have a built in temperature sensor located near the Hall sen-
sor. This sensor allows for automatic temperature compensation over the standard
operating range. Temperature compensation can be disabled in the Temperature tab
of the Measurement Setup screen.
Manual temperature compensation is available when using non-standard probes
that do not contain a temperature sensor or when operating at a temperature beyond
the range of the temperature sensor. In the Temperature tab, change the compensa-
tion Source from Temperature Sensor to Manual. This will reveal the Compensation
setting which must be set to the temperature at which the Hall probe sensor is oper-
ating. The manual compensation temperature can be set via the front panel or
through serial commands, for example:
SENSe:TCOMpensation:MTEMperature
