Adjusting the Image Properties
Open the image properties window from
Video>Brightness/Contrast/Hue/etc…
Select the
Cam33U Exposure Controls
tab to adjust the exposure settings:
Gain and Exposure can each be set to auto or manual controls. Starting with the auto setting
can be useful when setting up an image and focusing on a feature. Manual settings are typically
used for optimal image quality. Manual settings should be use if using
Intensity Probes
to
ensure consistent readings.
Gain
This property manipulates a factor that is used to multiply every pixel value.
Recommend setting: start low and adjust up as needed. Gain can also be set
from the
Video Proc Amp
tab.
Exposure
Exposure setting is the frame exposure time in seconds.
Note
:
If manually adjusting this setting, make sure the exposure time is less than
the desired (frame rate)
-1
, as setting a longer exposure time will limit the frame
rate.
Select the
Video Proc Amp
tab to adjust the image properties:
Brightness
Increasing the brightness adds a constant value to all pixels. Recommended
setting: 0
Hue
Adjusts the color values (color camera only). Recommended setting: 0
