Separating Follower Panels from Packer

Sometimes there may be situations where you will have to detach the follower panels from the packer.

If such a situation arises, the following procedure will help you safely perform this task.

To separate the follower panels from the packer proceed this way:

Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump.

Fully retract the packer so the follower panels are upright.

Figure 3

Turn OFF the hydraulic pump and the engine.

Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see

Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle

on page 14).

Securely attach the follower panels on both sides to make sure they will stay in place.
