The PrimeSight UNITY 9000 Video Processor User Manual

2 - Important Information

2.3  USER QUALIFICATIONS

This equipment should only be used in a medical facility by or under the supervision of a physician 
trained in endoscopic procedures. Do not use the Processor in any other locations or for any other 
purposes than its intended application.

Only use the equipment according to the instructions and under the operating conditions 
described in this User Manual. Failure to do so could result in compromised safety, equipment 
malfunction and/or instrument damage.

If training assistance is desired from either the manufacturer or a local distributor, please contact 
LABORIE Customer Care.

2.4  MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

The UNITY 9000 contains no user-serviceable parts (except for fuse replacement); never attempt to 
modify or repair the Processor. Doing so may cause further equipment damage and/or compromise 
patient safety if the Processor is subsequently used in a procedure. The Processor may only be 
serviced or repaired at an authorized LABORIE facility.

In addition to thoroughly inspecting the Processor before each procedure, periodic inspections 
should be performed to determine if there is wear or damage that requires attention.

2.5  SIGNAL WORDS
