ABBy retracts the panniculus
off the incision site after lower
abdominal surgery.
Please note: If you take the ABBy off completely, you might
need help to re-apply so that it stays 3-5cm (1-2 inches)
above the incision.
Make sure your skin is free of lotions, dry skin flakes,
or any moisture before readjusting the ABBy.
Gently pull down until your navel is fully visible.
Make sure your skin is thoroughly dry.
While in a flat or reclining position, grab each top corner.
Place your fingers on the fabric side of the ABBy and your
thumbs on the silicone adhesive side at the top corners.
To retract, pull the ABBy up either by walking the device
up from the side edges and smoothing it to your skin
as you go up, or by pulling up from the top corners and
attaching it just under the breasts.
If proper retraction is achieved, smooth the ABBy down
across skin. Make sure the edges are smoothed down well.
