PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The TCX20 is a dual channel Tube compressor,
which can be linked for stereo processing. It
features two active tube amp stages per channel;
one stage at the input and one for the output Gain
Make-Up. The input stage has a tube drive control
with a 40dB range.
The compressor features variable Threshold and
Ratio and variable rate Auto-Sensing Attack and
Release. This form of semi-automatic circuitry
gives fully variable control to the user, but backs it
up with auto-sensing circuitry that makes the
TCX20 both easy and forgiving to use.
Each channel is completed with an eight-segment
LED bargraph, a 20dB output tube gain amplifier
and a bypass button.
APPLICATIONS
As well as performing all the tasks of a
professional compressor, the TCX20 also adds
classic tube warmth to an instrument or final mix.
Use the TCX20 for:
-Increasing the power of a final mix
-Limiting PA signal levels
-Preventing distortion in recording
-Vocal levelling
-Fattening drums
-Emphasising solo instruments
-De-Essing and De-popping*
* using an equaliser with the sidechain insert.
