LA4 factory preset library (version 1.1)
A complete onboard preset library is stored in 76 OEM memory locations (from 11 to 86) to cover all principal system
configurations for a selected range of L-ACOUSTICS speakers.
Version 1.1 LA4 preset library name, channels description and assignments are provided in the following Preset Library
Description Sheets (Table5).
Note:
Check
www.l-acoustics.com
on a regular basis for latest preset revision.
Preset designation is as follow:
WST speaker range presets (Line Source)
•
‘‘ARCS’’ presets are provided in two versions, XXX_LO and XXX_HI, corresponding to two different HF
shelving equalizations: LO presets are flat (smooth) while HI presets include additional 3 dB shelving EQ
(bright).
•
‘‘KIVA’’ preset is designed for KIVA standalone FOH configurations without low frequency reinforcement.
•
‘‘KIVA_KILO’’ presets are engineered for hybrid configurations with a ratio of 3 KIVA to 1 KILO.
Coaxial speaker range and KIVA enclosure presets
•
‘‘FRONT’’ presets (XXX_FR) features specific equalization for standalone FOH applications without
subwoofer reinforcement.
•
‘‘FILL’’ presets (XXX_FI) provide nominally flat response for use in speech reinforcement and classical
music applications, or when the coaxial enclosure is used as a close proximity fill enclosure.
•
‘‘MONITOR’’ presets (XXX_MO) include additional low frequency equalization to account for half-space
loading conditions (floor monitoring applications, and wall- or ceiling-mounted enclosures).
Sub presets
•
The presets described above may include a 100Hz or 60Hz high-pass filter (presets XXX_100 or XXX_60
respectively) in order to reinforce the system with 100Hz or 60Hz low-filtered subwoofers (presets
SB118_100 or SB118_60 respectively).
•
The 8XT_SB118 and 12XTP_SB118 presets include a 100Hz crossover point. The FRONT EQ only applies
for high frequencies.
•
The ARCS_S118_LO and ARCS_S118_HI presets include a 60Hz crossover point.
The table below shows the Preset Library Description Sheets in which the 4 output channels are labelled XX_X where:
•
The first 2 digits indicate the kind of filtering applied to the designed output channel:
PA: Full-range type filtering for passive speaker
LF: Lo-end type filtering for active speaker or Lo-end extension applications
HF: Hi-end type filtering for active speaker applications
SB: LPF type filtering for sub bass applications
•
The last digit indicates which input channel the output is driven by:
A: Output driven by input A
B: Output driven by input B
