Connecting LA-RAK to analog audio source
6.6.1
External analog audio connection
Up to six analog audio signals can be routed from an analog audio source (mixing console or EQ device) to the
LA-PANEL front patch panel (“SIGNAL INPUT” PA-COM
®
19-pin socket) of a first LA-RAK.
Several additional LA-RAK can be cascaded in parallel by linking each “SIGNAL OUTPUT” socket to the following LA-
RAK “SIGNAL INPUT” socket. The six analog audio signals can also be routed from the last LA-RAK to other signal
processing devices using the DOMM cable.
Cascading several LA-RAK cause losses in the analog signal. The losses increase in line with the
number of LA-RAK and the console output impedance. Typically, cascading 16 LA-RAK will cause a
-1 dB loss with a 50 Ω console and a -3 dB loss with a 150 Ω console.
The figure below shows the external analog audio cabling principle including all available L-ACOUSTICS
