Learn to Navigate the Web
Navigating through menus and websites during a data session is easy once you have learned a
few basics.
Soft Keys
During a data session, the bottom line of your phone’s display screen contains one or more soft
keys. These keys are shortcut controls for navigating around the Web, and they correspond to
the soft keys
directly below the phone’s display screen.
Tip:
Depending on which websites you visit, the labels on the soft keys may change to
indicate their function.
To use soft keys:
► Press the Left and Right soft keys
. (If an additional pop-up menu is displayed when
you press the soft key, select the menu items by pressing the corresponding number
keys,
if they’re numbered, or by highlighting the option and pressing
.)
Scrolling
As with other parts of your phone’s menu, you’ll have to scroll up and down to see everything on
some websites.
To scroll through a website’s page:
► Press the Navigation key up or down.
Selecting
To select on-screen items or links:
► Use the Navigation key to highlight an item and press
.
Tip:
If the items on a page are numbered, you can use the number keys to select an item.
Links, which are displayed as underlined text, allow you to jump to Web pages, select special
functions, or even place phone calls.
