Drops
: Most smartphone drops are from pockets. Drop it over and over outside onto
the sidewalk, no problem.
The
DuraSport 5G
was tested to meet the minimum criteria with drops of ~5ft (1.5m)
on to concrete.
Waterproof
(IPX6/IPX8): use it in your pool (up to 6.5 feet (2m) for 30 minutes), take
some great pics. Kyocera has been doing waterproof for more than a decade. Other
devices may be water resistant, but Kyocera’s is designed to function (and thrive) in
water, rather than simply withstand water. Avoid saltwater, as it is corrosive. (User
Guide states to wash it immediately if exposed to saltwater)
Dust
(IP6X): Certifies the devices is completely dust tight.
Shock, vibration, temperature extremes, blowing rain, low pressure, solar
radiation, salt fog, humidity, immersion, temperature shock and icing/freezing
rain.
