5 Installation verification
You can perform the steps described below to verify that your Kvaser hardware is properly
installed and communicates with its device driver.
Open the Control Panel
. There you will find an icon labelled Kvaser Hardware. It looks like
this:

Note for users of Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista
: If you have enabled the
“Category View” (which is the default) in the Control Panel, you will find the icon in the “Printers and
Other Hardware” category. As an alternative to the Category View, you may want to click on the link
“Switch to Classic View” on the left panel in the Control Panel window. In the Classic View, all icons are
visible at the same time.
