The connectors and their functions are listed below:
HD camera 1 (CAM 1) –
This connector is the input from the primary (forward facing)
HD camera.
SD camera (CAM2) –
This connector is the input from the SD color camera. Typically,
this camera is mounted in the rear seat area. This camera has built in infrared (IR)
lighting for filming in dark conditions and a built in In-Car Microphone (ICM).
HD camera 2 (CAM3)
– This connector is the input from an optional second HD
camera. Typically, this camera would be aimed out the rear windshield.
Accessory cable connection –
This cable provides the circuitry for various inputs that
may be used to trigger record mode. Types of inputs are ignition, brake, siren, lightbar,
etc.
Power
cable connection
– The power cable is a 5-pin connector and provides two (2)
power connections, two (2) ground connections and a drain connection.
DVR ground stud
– The installer will use a ground strap attached to the ground stud to
connect the DVR chassis to the vehicle’s chassis ground. This is done to help prevent
Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from affecting the operation of the system.
GPS
– This connector is for connecting the optional GPS antenna cable.
Wi-Fi Antenna
– The DVR provides three (3) connectors for Wi-Fi antennas to facilitate
wireless data transfer from the DVR to the station based file server. In the image
