6.4.2 The automation bar
The four left-hand buttons of the automation bar control the process, while the six
right-hand buttons control the single process steps.

To use a profile, select it in the profile table and enable it in the [Profile library]
work area by clicking on the [Activate] button. With regard to this, please read the
chapter The work area [Profile library] [
} 75]. The process steps included in the
profile are marked in yellow in the automation bar. A red frame around a button
shows the process step that will be performed next.
Left-click on a button of the process steps to set or delete the yellow marking. This
allows you to enable or disable process steps independently of the profile defini-
tion.
To set the red frame, right-click on a process step button. This is the process step
that will be executed next.
– [Start the process]: Starts the currently activated profile or interrupts a running
profile. Between two process steps, the button is shortly displayed as a pause
symbol.
– [Pause the process]: By clicking the pause button, you can stop the process, run
tests or change settings. Then click on the [Start the process] button to resume
the process. The display time of the pause symbol can be adjusted using the
[Options] button. With regard to this, please also read Chapter The [Options]
button.
– [Stop the process]: Fully stops the current process, the machine stands still. If
the vacuum is active, it is turned off.
Note: Via the [Start or stop soldering process ] and [Start or stop desoldering pro-
cess] buttons in the [Soldering] work area, terminate the soldering or desoldering
process so that the component can be stored.
– [Run next process step]: Starts the next process step as a single step. After the
process step, the process is held until you click again on this button. In the first
status display, the executed process step is displayed. With regard to this,
please read Chapter The work area [Placement] [
} 72].
– [Repeat last procedure step]: Performs the last process step again. It may be
used in single step mode between process steps or in automatic mode in the
pause times between process steps.
During automatic detection of component connections on the glass plate, click-
ing on this button several times improves component detection by the camera.
If the component is not detected automatically, each further click on this but-
ton will reduce the luminance intensity for improved component identification.
– [Start desolder process]: If it is marked in yellow, the desoldering process is
carried out.
