As Needed
Change Air Filter
Change air filter when pop-up message appears.
To change:
1. Remove air filter cover and remove primary
(1) and secondary (2) elements.
2. Wipe inside of housing and wash cover and
clean dust ejector valve.
3. Clean dust trap (3).
4. Insert new secondary element and ensure it is
seated correctly.
5. Insert new primary element.
6. Replace cover. If cover does not fit, element is not properly locked into housing. Remove cover and
primary element and repeat step 4.
Drain Water Separator on Primary Fuel
Filter
Drain water separators on primary fuel filter as
needed. WIF (water in fuel) indicator will indicate
need.
Drain at plug as needed until water is removed
and fuel runs from drain.
NOTICE:
Only open the air filter canister when pop-up message appears. Change the elements. Do not
attempt to clean them.
• Improperly installed primary element can lead to premature engine failure.
• Compressed air or water may damage filter elements.
• Tapping filter elements to loosen dirt may damage the elements.
