Checking Engine Oil Level
To avoid personal injury or death:
A
Be sure to stop the engine before checking the
oil level.
1. Park the machine on a flat surface.
2. Check engine oil before starting the engine or 5
minutes or more after the engine has stopped.
3. To check the oil level, draw out the dipstick, wipe it
clean, replace it, and draw it out again. Check to see
that the oil level lies between the two notches.
If the level is too low, add new oil to the prescribed
level at the oil inlet.

When using an oil of different maker or viscosity from
the previous one, remove all of the old oil.
Never mix two different types of oil.

If oil level is low, do not run engine.
A
At times a small amount of fuel, which is used to
regenerate the DPF, may get mixed with the engine oil
and the engine oil may increase in volume.

Checking Transmission Fluid Level
1. Park the machine on a flat surface, lower the
implement and shut off engine.
2. To check the oil level, draw out the dipstick, wipe it
clean, replace it, and draw it out again. Check to see
that the oil level lies between the two notches.
If the level is too low, add new oil to the prescribed
level at the oil inlet.

When using BT1000B or BT1400 Backhoe and
checking oil level, locate the tractor/loader/backhoe on
a flat and set the loader/backhoe as illustrated below.
