Draining the fuel filter

If the fuel filter water error code
as shown right appears on the
LCD display, immediately take
the following steps to drain the
filter after stopping the engine.

1. Remove the bolt. Take much care not to lose it.
2. Open the drain shutoff-valve and drain the water.
3. After draining the water completely, close the drain

shutoff-valve and then attach the bolt.

A

If you don’t drain the fuel filter immediately after the
alarm, the engine may be seriously damaged.

A

After draining the fuel filter, drain the water separator
as soon as possible.

A

Without the fuel filter drained, the cleaning efficiency of
the DPF (3000 hours) will be reduced and the DPF
longevity will be shorter than expected.
