•
Mount the hubs on the shaft of driving and driven side (see illustration 15).
•
Insert the spider into the cam section of the hub on the driving or driven side.
•
Shift the power packs in axial direction until the distance dimension L is achieved (see illustration 16).
•
If the power packs are already firmly assembled, shifting the hubs axially on the shafts allows for setting the
distance dimension L.
•
Fasten the hubs by tightening the setscrews DIN EN ISO 4029 with a cup point (tightening torques see
table 9).
If the shaft diameters with inserted feather key are smaller than dimension d
H
(see table 1 to
5) of the spider, one or two shaft ends may protude into the spider.

•
Mount the E4 hubs onto the shaft of driving and driven side (see illustration 17).
•
The internal sides of the E4 hubs must be flush with the front sides of the shafts.
•
Fasten the E4 hubs by tightening the setscrews DIN EN ISO 4029 with a cup point (tightening torque see
table 9).
•
Insert both spiders into the cam section of the E4 hubs on the driving and driven side.
•
Put the DKM spacer into one of the two spiders.
•
Shift the power packs in axial direction until the dimension L
total
is achieved (see illustration 18 and table 6).
