11.18 Removing the shock absorber
Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 28)

Main work
–
Remove screw

and lower the rear wheel with the swingarm as far as possible
without blocking the rear wheel. Fix the rear wheel in this position.

Remove screw

, push splash protector

to the side, and remove the shock
absorber.

Push splash protector

to the side and position the shock absorber. Mount and
tighten screw


Finishing work
–
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 28)
11.20 Removing the seat

Open quick release

and raise the rear of the seat.
–
Pull back the seat and remove it.
11.21 Mounting the seat

Hook the seat onto screw  and lower the seat at the rear while pushing it for-
ward.
