Configure the Access Rule Configuration settings on the window above.
The following parameters can be set:
Profile ID
This is the identifier number for this profile set.
Mode
* Select Permit to specify that the packets that match the access profile
are forwarded by the Switch, according to any additional rule added (see
below).
* Select Deny to specify that packets that do not match the access profile
are not forwarded by the Switch and will be filtered.
Access ID
Type in a unique identifier number for this access. This value can be set
from 1 to 255.
Type
Select profile based on Ethernet (MAC Address), IP address or packet
content mask. This will change the menu according to the requirements for
the type of profile.
* Select Ethernet to instruct the Switch to examine the layer 2 part of each
packet header.
* Select IP to instruct the Switch to examine the IP address in each
frame

s header.
* Select Packet Content Mask to specify a mask to hide the content of the
packet header.
Priority(0-7)
Specify the priority tag, located in the packet header that will be identified
by the Switch.
Replace Priority(0-7)
This parameter is specified if you want to change the 802.1p user priority
of a packet that meets the specified criteria. Otherwise, a packet will have
its incoming 802.1p user priority re-written to its original value before being
transmitted from the switch.
Replace Dscp(0-63)
Select this option to instruct the Switch to replace the DSCP value (in a
packet that meets the selected criteria) with the value entered in the
adjacent field.
Vlan Name
Allows the entry of a name for a previously configured VLAN.
Source Mac
Source MAC Address - Enter a MAC Address for the source MAC
address.
Destination Mac
Destination MAC Address - Enter a MAC Address mask for the destina-
tion MAC address.
802.1p(0-7)
Enter a value from 0 to 7 to specify that the access profile will apply only
to packets with this 802.1p priority value.
Ethernet Type
Specifies that the access profile will apply only to packets with this
hexadecimal 802.1Q Ethernet type value (hex 0x0-0xffff) in the packet
header. The Ethernet type value may be set in the form: hex 0x0-0xffff,
which means the user may choose any combination of letters and numbers
ranging from a-f and from 0-9999.
